Other Industrial Networks

We support a variety of other industrial automation networks, providing the flexibility to connect new applications with existing applications on networks such as Data Highway Plus, DH-485, Universal Remote I/O and SERCOS II. We also provide in-chassis connectivity to many other networks through Encompass Partner products.

	Data Highway Plus (DH+) Network The Data Highway Plus (DH+) network is a local area network designed to support remote programming and messaging between computers and controllers for factory-floor applications.
	DH-485 Network The DH-485 industrial local area network is designed for factory-floor applications and uses the RS-485 transmission standard.
	SERCOS Interface SERCOS (Serial Real-time Communications System) is an internationally-approved communication standard for motion control (IEC 61491). This communication network is designed for high-speed serial communication of standardized closed-loop data, in real-time, over a noise-immune fiber-optic cable. We support SERCOS with interface motion modules which provide SERCOS drive connectivity and control for the ControlLogix controller.
	Universal Remote I/O (RIO) Network Universal Remote I/O Link is a local area network designed to connect controllers to remote I/O chassis and a variety of intelligent devices such as operator interfaces and AC or DC drives.
